No offense, but if you went to "Finding Nemo 3D" you're a schmuck.  That's a terrible way to open a review, but let's be truthful here.  You only went to "Nemo" for two reasons: either to see your favorite ocean-dwelling friends Marlin and Dory navigate Marlin's lost son in the third dimensional, or to experience this epic adventure for the first time ever.  Either way you're going to get cheated. Just like "The Lion King" before it and the mixed success of "Beauty and the Beast," Disney's been trying to cram 3D re-releases down America's throats lately.  I have news for errr-body: YOU CAN BUY THESE MOVIES, YOU KNOW.  Practically every Mom with a kid born in the 90's (That's me!) owns a copy of those three movies. There are some cynics out there who call "Hugo" boring, saying it will be uninteresting to kids alike, who are used to being shoveled lame sequels like "Cats & Dogs 2" & "Spy Kids 4."  If you want your kid to be interested, play Frisbee with them!  Once you find a good taste in movies, go see this fantastic drama as soon as you can! "Hugo" really isn't for kids.  It's kid-friendly, I suppose, featuring a refreshing amount of innocence most movies lack.  What makes this interesting is the director, legend Martin Scorsese who's responsible for some of cinema's most violent films.  I read in an interview he wanted to make a film his children should watch.  When you make a movie just so it has a PG rating for your kids, you know you've made it in the business.  Scorsese's direction is well-used in "Hugo," he gets a great performance out of Asa Butterfield.  Even Sacha Baron Cohen delivers a finely tuned per...

I'm pretty unaware of anything Captain America as far as comic books wise, so I went into the theater only knowing a few things: Captain America is Steve Rogers, who used to be a 90 lb. weakling, but during WWII they needed a supersoldier for the army. There was a bad guy named Red Skull and he had a sidekick named Bucky. That's literally everything I knew. Unlike the Harry Potter series, you don't need to have read the source material to understand the film. "The First Avenger" plays out like any normal superhero film...and that's exactly what it is: a normal superhero film. It doesn't go beyond your expectations, it's not a below par film like I heard "Green Lantern" was. It plays exactly like "Thor" did actually; establishing the character's backgrounds, setting them up for what's to come, taking time to reveal the main villain.
