I gotta say this is pretty sweet. I like just writing and stuff, mostly about movies, which I really enjoy, so expect movie reviews and everything. Just a blog to fill time.

DVD REVIEW: MONEYBALL

 "Moneyball" is notable for a few reasons. It got robbed at the Oscars, 6 nominations with 0 wins. It was one of the last appearances of "Fat Jonah Hill." Fat Jonah Hill, known for his crude frat boy persona he developed in movies like "Superbad" and "Knocked Up," got an Oscar nomination.  Therefore he's now known as "Skinny Oscar-nominee Jonah Hill." One of Fat Jonah Hill's last appearances. Though none of those reasons adds up to why "Moneyball" was one of my favorite films of the year.  Once again I'll be perfectly honest, I don't really know why F.J.H. got the Oscar nomination, and a Golden Globe nomination to boot.  He was Brad Pitt's portly sidekick.  He was very smart, and came up with the whole concept for the moneyball formula, but he was still his portly sidekick. REVIEW: MEN IN BLACK 3

Here's a sad thought: We haven't seen Will Smith on the big screen for three and a half years!  That's insane!  For me, though, Smith is omnipresent in the media world, what with his son starring in a decent karate remake, his daughter winning over the world by whipping her hair around, and those "Fresh Prince" reruns you see on TBS all the time.  The last time I saw Smith was on New Year's Day of 2009 , (don't ask me how I remember) when I went to go see him in "Seven Pounds," which was critically bashed but I thought was pleasantly mediocre. But that still isn't fair, Will!  Don't be so selfish, share yourself with the rest of the world! Welcome back, Will! I kid, but the movie season has seemed a little more lonelier with the absence of critic/audience pleasers like "I Am Legend" and "The Pursuit of Happyness," both of which are classics by teenage standards.  You can't blame Smith; however, he's a fam...

REVIEW: WARM BODIES

First off, I must tell you a movie I fully recommend: "Django Unchained."  I didn't review it last week because of exams and the fact anyone who really wanted to see it probably saw it over Christmas when it came out.  It is a bold, extremely  gutsy movie that has become one of my favorite movies...not even of the year, but ever.  I'm still rooting for "Argo" come Oscar time, but I'd love to see Mr. Waltz pick up his second supporting actor Oscar for his remarkable work in this film. If you're thinking, wow, recommending a movie before the actual review...that can't be good!  It's not..."Warm Bodies" is absolutely a February movie, like the much-hyped "Mama" and "The Woman in Black" last year.  It's a (kind of) horror movie with some comedy and a whole lot of romance dashed in there, but not all of it works, and some of it is just downright predictable.  "Warm Bodies" works especially best as slum...
